Within the project ETHNIC, ODRAZ held info days at the end of March, gathering representatives from the tourism sector, local and regional decision-makers, sector agencies, family farms, NGOs, scientific and educational institutions, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. On the other hand, participants of the Tourist Board Ravni kotari Info Days were various decision-makers, as well as representatives of NGOs, craftsmen, and institutions from the culture and educational sectors.
Development of joint tourist packages
Activities spanned three days, with the combination of individual and group approaches. ODRAZ representatives presented the project ETHNIC and its goals, with a special emphasis on encouraging the participation of local stakeholders in the decision-making process and project implementation, as well as strengthening the tourism potential of Dugopolje and its surroundings.
Most participants expressed interest in being included in the project, while also asking questions about the possibility of promoting a potentially joint tourist package to the Italian market through the ETHNIC project. Focusing on cooperation possibilities, further steps, and the project’s impact on their business, participants proposed including their tourist packages and services in the development of eco-cultural tourism in Dalmatian Zagora.
Fruitful discussion in Benkovac museum
Tourist Board Ravni kotari held their info day in Benkovac Heritage Museum, where they presented the activities and goals of the ETHNIC project to the interested public of the Zadar hinterland.
All the participants welcomed the main idea of ETHNIC, which focuses on eco-cultural tourism. This concept combines the preservation of natural and cultural sites with economic and recreational benefits through community-led sustainable tourism development.
During a fruitful discussion, participants learned that in the following months, representatives of the Tourist Board Ravni kotari will identify local needs and conduct workshops to educate and mentor them - the local stakeholders who have already shown interest in these activities.
