The Standard project MareSkill (Smart and innovative blue skills for competitive blue economy), approved under the 1st Call for Proposals, is scheduled to have its Kick-off Meeting on April 18th&19th, 2024 in Šibenik.

The Blue Skilled project addresses the challenge of aligning labor market demands with skills in the blue economy. It aims to bridge this gap through pilot activities promoting upskilling and reskilling programs in sectors like marine tourism, aquaculture, and offshore energy. These programs will equip students with essential skills, foster industry growth, and identify future training needs on a cross-border level.

The project also evaluates training methods to enhance employment opportunities and align industry needs with educational curricula. Ultimately, it aims to develop and implement innovative solutions to support industry growth and workforce development.
