Two-day workshop on accessible and inclusive tourism for key stakeholders in Trogir

As part of the CReAIT project - creating recipes for accessible and inclusive tourism, the first round of workshops for key stakeholders - representatives of the public and private sectors, educational institutions and associations - was held.
The training workshops were held by Prof. Dr. Smiljana Pivčević and Assoc. Dr. Ljiljana Najev Čačija is an expert in the field of tourism, particularly in creating innovative approaches for tourism development. The two-day workshop covered the basic concepts of accessible and inclusive tourism (AIT), examples of good practice from European and global destinations and practical work: a workshop in which participants had the opportunity to participate in the creation of an action plan for the implementation of the principles of accessibility and inclusiveness of tourism products and destinations.
Among the participants in the training workshops were representatives of the TOMS Association, Liberato, the Provincial Association of the Blind and the Rašpin Juta Association, whose contribution is crucial on this issue, a representative of the Trogir Town Museum and the director of the Kula Kamerlengo, whose accessibility represents a particular challenge for Trogir, and a representative of the tourist guides. Special mention should be made of the response of the Professional Secondary School "Blaž Jurjev Trogiranin", led by the headmaster Karmen Sinanović and teachers, to the motivation of the graduates of the hotel tourism technician course, who attended the workshop despite the spring holidays .
The next activity is the holding of workshops on the co-creation of specific recipes for the Trogir implementation sites.

Thanks to the CReAIT project, in the Italian city of Fermo and the Croatian city of Trogir, heterogeneous groups of stakehloders with expertise in tourism and the social sector met in March.
