15/04/2024

The meeting “From SNAI to STAMI – Creating Bridges: the Lower Ferrarese inner area” took place on April 11, 2024, at the House of Culture of Tresigallo in the Municipality of Tresignana (Ferrara).
The event was organized by the Lands and Rivers Union as part of Activity 1.2 of BRICS project.

During the meeting, participants discussed about the Regional Strategic Document 2021-27 and the Integrated Territorial Strategies for internal area Basso Ferrarese, but also the BRICS project (Bridging the gaps of Cross border small destinations) as a good practice and strategy for the future in the field of tourism. The aims of the project, in fact, are how to build a governance in tourism and how to promote the beauties of the inner areas.

Majors, Associations and local tourist operators, the stakeholders of this project, have been involved to discuss the way to elaborate a strategy that pay attention to the real needs of the territory. The main topics discussed during the event were:

1.Communication and marketing tourism;
2.Tourism Governance;
3.BRICS Living Labs: next step of the project, in which the stakeholders will discuss about tourism and will practice tourism in specific activities to discover the inner areas.

At the end of the morning, the Union Gravel event was presented, a cycle tourism manifestation which aims to raise awareness of the Lower Ferrarese area – in particular of the Lands and Rivers Union – through circular routes that lead to the discovery of the naturalistic and historical-architectural beauties of the area, but also of the many culinary excellences and traditions. Evidence of how the territory is committed also to raising people’s awareness for increasingly sustainable mobility.
