BRICS: Study visits in the inner areas of Biferno river and Matese

BRICS partners gathered together in Molise during a Study Visit organized by Union of Municipalities of Biferno springs on 21-22 March in the inner area of Biferno river and Matese area.
The partners had the opportunity to visit some tourist destinations of the area and to meet some local authorities and tourist operators. The partners shared ideas, experiences and information on adopted solutions in Tourism destinations and discussed about common problems that affect the Tourism sector in the inner areas.
Study visits were organised to different locations around the Biferno river. The first day BRICS partners visited two natural protected areas in Matese Mountain, the WWF Oasis Guardiaregia and Campochiaro, four villages (Sepino, Colle d’Anchise, Bojano and Civita di Bojano) and the Archaeological Site of Altilia Saepinum.
The visit continued the second day on the Matese mountain by visiting two touristic destinations, Campitello and the village of Roccamandolfi.
During the 2 days, the group composed by some representatives of Municipality of Dugopolje (Croatia) and Union of Municipalities Lands and Rivers (Ferrara - Italy) visited also two museums: ll Museo dei Briganti (Roccamandolfi) and Museo di Santa Cristina in Sepino.
After the visit the hosting partner, the Union of Municipalities of Biferno springs, will present a report in order to identifying common elements with cross-border partners to activate cooperation paths.
