RESONANCE Project Presented at the AIGA National Conference

01/07/2026

The RESONANCE project was presented at the AIGA (Associazione Italiana di Geologia Applicata ed Ambientale) National Conference, an important scientific event bringing together researchers and professionals working in the fields of applied geology, engineering geology and environmental studies.
Mariagiulia Annibali Corona, research fellow at the University of Urbino  “Carlo Bo” and member of the lead partner institution of the RESONANCE project, presented a contribution focused on the Monte Conero Regional Park (Italy), highlighting the Piangrande cliff and the Mezzavalle beach as a representative case study of coastal instability.
The presentation illustrated the integrated multidisciplinary approach adopted within the RESONANCE project, combining field geological and geomechanical surveys, UAV-based photogrammetry, LiDAR data analysis, geomorphological investigations and numerical modelling to assess coastal slope stability and support coastal risk management.
The results demonstrated the effectiveness of integrating multiple investigation techniques to improve the understanding of coastal landslide processes and to provide reliable information for hazard assessment and the sustainable management of rocky coastal environments.
