An official app dedicated to reporting non-indigenous species (NIS) has been launched. A Citizen Science tool designed to actively engage citizens, divers, and fishers in protecting biodiversity.
Why participate? Collaboration between citizens and the scientific community is essential for the early detection of alien species. The collected reports complement the project’s simulation models,
enabling experts to monitor the health of the Adriatic in real time and take timely action to safeguard the ecosystem.
How to contribute: The app, available in Italian, English, and Croatian, allows users to submit photos and geographic coordinates of sightings in just a few steps by clicking on the link.
