As part of the Wastereduce project, ARPAV organized a series of three educational and interactive sessions with students from the “P. Calamandrei” middle school of the “Colombo” Institute in Chirignago, Venice.
Through presentations, collaborative activities, and the use of virtual reality headsets, students explored the problem of marine plastic pollution and discovered how abandoned waste can travel from rivers and urban areas to the sea. The immersive VR experience allowed students to better understand the environmental impact of everyday actions and the importance of sustainable behavior.
The activities introduced students to the objectives and good practices of both the Wastereduce and MARLESS Interreg Italy–Croatia projects, promoting environmental awareness, active participation, and greater understanding of marine protection among young people.
