Project WASTEREDUCE addresses waste management challenges in protected and Natura 2000 areas in Italy and Croatia. It focuses on waste prevention, impact reduction, and stakeholder cooperation. Through joint actions and awareness campaigns, the project improves waste policies and practices. Key strategies include monitoring, prevention, reduction, and mitigation, particularly in rivers and coastal areas. With a cross-border approach, WASTEREDUCE tackles pollution in both green and blue areas, fostering collaboration for more effective waste management.
