AdriaClimPlus | Kick-off Meeting, Lecce
The AdriaClimPlus (Adriatic coastal areas science-based solutions for climate adaptation) is the Standard project funded under the 1st Call for Proposals.
AdriaClimPlus addresses the urgent need for climate change adaptation in the IT-HR Programme area, where threats like sea-level rise and extreme weather events endanger cultural and natural heritage. The project aims to enhance monitoring capabilities of coastal conditions, develop climate modeling tools, and share best practices among decision-makers.
With partners from both sides of the Adriatic Sea, AdriaClimPlus will focus on 7 pilot areas to deliver solutions for adaptation planning. By advancing scientific knowledge, developing digital tools, and raising awareness, the project will support stakeholders in making informed decisions for climate adaptation. Information events and engagement activities will ensure widespread dissemination of project outcomes and encourage dialogue among stakeholders.
The Kick-off meeting will take place in Lecce on the 23th and 24 of April 2024.
