The European Commission is ready to assign the prize to the EU-funded projects which demonstrate excellence and new approaches in regional development. The call for the applications submissions for the RegioStars Awards 2024 is now open!
Projects will be able to apply in one of the five thematic Award categories:
• Category 1) A COMPETITIVE AND SMART EUROPE- Promoting competitiveness, innovation and economic resilience
• Category 2) A GREEN EUROPE- The green transition as the enabler of regional development
• Category 3) A CONNECTED EUROPE- Enhancing mobility and connectivity between regions
• Category 4) A SOCIAL AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE – Achieving a more inclusive Europe by harnessing regional talents
• Category 5) A EUROPE CLOSER TO THE CITIZENS- Fostering the sustainable development of all types of territories
Only completed projects are considered. A completed project is a project which has carried out all the planned activities, has received its final financial contribution and has been declared closed by the project beneficiary and/or the Managing Authority.
Applications can be submitted in one of the official EU languages. All applications will be machine translated into English for the assessment of the jury.
Projects should apply within the category that corresponds to the policy objective under which they have been funded. For the projects funded during the 2014-2020 period, the applicants should refer to the competition category corresponding to the thematic objective under which they have been funded as indicated in the table in Guidelines for Applicants (see “Conversion Table” on pg. 15 of the GL for applicants”). A project can be submitted for only one category of the 5 award categories mentioned above.
We promote the participation of our funded projects in this initiative: projects of the 14-20 programming period can fill in our Pre-selection form in the box by May 17th. Our The Managing Authority will select up to 5 projects to be endorsed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme.
The selected projects will than be asked to make the final submission by using the online REGIOSTARS application platform and by presenting the Managing Authority's endorsement letter they will receive. We will publish this link once the Programme pre-selection procedure is closed.
