TOFOLA | Kick-off Meeting, online
TOFOLA (Tourism in the Forest and Green Lagoons of the Adriatic through historical wooden boats) Kick-off Meeting is set for April 16th, 2024, and it will take place online.
The TOFOLA project aims to create sustainable tourism products based on the shipbuilding history of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, diversifying the tourist offerings in the Northern Adriatic region and promoting underutilized destinations. By addressing the challenge of diversifying tourist flows and promoting equal access to cultural heritage, TOFOLA leverages the rich historical memory and local traditions of coastal provinces in the Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Istria regions.
Key project outcomes include traceability tools for wooden boat reconstruction, ICT tools for boat engineering, accessibility solutions for people with disabilities, environmentally friendly propulsion systems, and easily adaptable business models for tourism products.
