Trento – FOSS4G IT & OSMit 2026 is Italy's leading conference dedicated to open-source geospatial software, open geospatial data, and the OpenStreetMap community.
The 2026 edition took place in Trento in July 2026.
During the event, the CYROS WebGIS, developed within the framework of the Interreg Italy–Croatia CYROS project, was presented as a successful example of cross-border cooperation to support sustainable cycle tourism. The platform showcases the potential of open WebGIS technologies, harmonised geospatial datasets, and digital services designed to improve the planning, management, and user experience of cycling routes across the Adriatic area.
CYROS' participation in FOSS4G IT & OSMit provided an excellent opportunity to share the project's achievements, engage with the open-source geospatial community, and promote the adoption of open technologies for more sustainable mobility and tourism.
