Adriafer hosted the final event in Trieste

07/07/2026

Partners and participants were welcomed by Maurizio Cociancich of Adriafer, who introduced the project team members, officially opening the day. The programme moved into full swing with the contribution of Hrvoje Grancarić, Project Manager of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme, who presented the programme that has funded, among other projects, CROSSFREIGHT itself.

The session then continued with an important thematic focus on European perspectives on sustainable and digital freight transport,), in a round table moderated by Angelo Giordano of Adriafer. Following this contextual introduction, Margit Kuuse, CROSSFREIGHT’s project manager on behalf of lead partner ITL Foundation, presented the pilot activities implemented during the project.

A key moment of the day was subsequently represented by the two Round Tables, moderated by Andrea Gallo of Logoteam, which saw the active participation of all project partners. The dialogue between the different stakeholders involved brought out a wealth of valuable insights.

The event saw the active involvement of a broad audience of stakeholders, who in the afternoon took part in a joint session organised together with the AUTOSUP project: a Joint Workshop entitled "Synergies Between Smart Freight Corridors, Automation and Business Models", aimed at exploring the convergence between smart logistics corridors, automation and new business models.
