SOCRAT Project to Conclude with Final Cross-Border Exhibition “Shared Grounds” in Pula

30/06/2026

The SOCRAT project will conclude with its final cross-border event, the international exhibition “Shared Grounds”, opening on 7 July 2026 at the Archaeological Museum of Istria in Pula. Organised by the Region of Istria, the exhibition will serve as the culminating event of the project, bringing together and showcasing the key results developed through three years of cross-border cooperation.
The exhibition will present artistic outcomes created within the SOCRAT Creative Living Labs, including works developed in Istria as well as video documentation from all thirteen Creative Living Labs implemented across Croatia and Italy. These outputs reflect the project’s collaborative approach to connecting crafts, contemporary art, cultural and creative industries, and tourism in order to create innovative and sustainable tourism products.
Accompanied by explanatory texts, photographs and videos, the exhibition will offer visitors an insight into the creative processes behind the Labs and demonstrate the project’s impact on local communities, cultural institutions and participating artists. It will highlight the exchange of artistic practices, cross-border cooperation and the development of new cultural-tourism models rooted in local identity and heritage.
As the final SOCRAT event, Shared Grounds will provide an important platform for sharing knowledge, best practices and lessons learned among project partners, stakeholders and the wider public. It will also serve as an opportunity to reflect on the project’s achievements and its long-term contribution to sustainable tourism development through culture, creativity and community participation.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors until 24 July 2026, offering a final opportunity to experience the diverse and innovative results of the SOCRAT project.
