Adriatic Cycle Route: Marche Region Supports FIAB’s “Adriatic Bike Ride”

The Marche Region supported the fifteenth edition of the Adriatic Bike Ride, an initiative promoted by FIAB (Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation) Marche to raise awareness among citizens and institutions about the importance of completing the Adriatic Cycle Route, a strategic infrastructure for sustainable mobility and cycling tourism along the Adriatic coast.
During the event, participants met with authorities and representatives of the communities along the route to discuss the progress of the regional cycling network, ongoing projects, and the completion of the remaining sections of the Adriatic Cycle Route.
A little delegation from the European CYROS project also took part in the initiative.
The event highlighted the potential of an integrated mobility model, strengthened in the Marche Region by the possibility of carrying bicycles free of charge on regional trains, encouraging more sustainable and accessible travel.
The participation of the CYROS project is part of a broader programme promoted by the Marche Region to foster sustainable mobility and cycling tourism. In this context, an institutional Bike Tour is being planned with leading sector organisations to strengthen engagement with local communities and further promote the opportunities offered by the regional cycling network.
