02/06/2026

Last week, representatives of the DIH InnovaMare project joined students, graduates, young researchers, project partners, and private sector stakeholders from Croatia and Italy for an international Joint Study Visit in Monfalcone, Italy.

The event aimed to strengthen cooperation between education, research, and industry while promoting innovation and skills development within the blue economy. Bringing together participants from across the Adriatic region, the Study Visit encouraged knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions on future opportunities and challenges in the maritime sector.

Participants explored the Port of Monfalcone, one of the region’s key logistics and maritime hubs, and visited the BENETEAU production facility, gaining valuable insights into advanced manufacturing processes, technological innovation, and sustainable business development in the maritime industry.

Beyond the site visits, the Study Visit provided an excellent platform for networking and collaboration, connecting young talents, researchers, industry representatives, and project partners from across the Adriatic region. These interactions fostered new ideas, strengthened professional networks, and opened opportunities for future cooperation.

The Joint Study Visit highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation in supporting innovation and competitiveness within the blue economy. By strengthening links between education, research, and industry, the event contributed to the development of skills, partnerships, and innovation ecosystems that will support the sustainable growth of the maritime sector across the Adriatic region.

DIH InnovaMare is pleased to support initiatives that encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing, helping to build stronger innovation ecosystems and a more sustainable future for the blue economy.
