The project is entering its final stage of implementation, and its results will be presented at the Final Conference to be held on 11 June 2026 in Zadar, Croatia, at the Duke’s Palace.
The conference is organised by the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia as part of the Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027 Cross-border Cooperation Programme. The project aims to promote a sustainable approach to the planning of offshore wind farms in the Adriatic Sea, integrating energy development with environmental protection and the long-term socio-economic development of coastal areas.
The event will bring together representatives of national and regional institutions, development agencies, research and academic organisations, as well as stakeholders from the energy, environmental, maritime spatial planning, and blue economy sectors from Croatia and Italy.
Through presentations and panel discussions, participants will address key topics related to offshore renewable energy development, including technological solutions and required infrastructure, the regulatory and planning framework for offshore wind projects, environmental impacts on marine ecosystems, and opportunities for developing the blue economy by linking energy with fisheries, aquaculture, tourism, and maritime transport.
A special focus will be placed on the results of the BEYOND project, which develops an integrated and sustainable planning model for offshore wind energy, balancing energy potential with the protection of natural resources and the socio-economic development of coastal communities.
On 10 June 2026, a partner’s’ meeting will be held to review project activities, achievements, and the final steps towards project completion.
Further information on the conference programme and registration will be available soon.
