Youth for Sea - Ideas for the Future of Italy - Croatia Cooperation

At the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme Annual Event 2026 “Youth4Sea” in Ancona, the FishNoWaste project was presented as a best practice during the Working Tables dedicated to youth engagement and sustainable development.
Together with projects such as Campus and Wastereduce, FishNoWaste contributed to discussions on how cooperation programmes can move beyond symbolic participation and create real opportunities for young people to influence change.
One message resonated strongly throughout the event: “It is not enough to open the doors: young people also need to be able to find them.”
From circular economy solutions in the fisheries sector to cross-border collaboration and awareness raising, FishNoWaste continues to support a more sustainable and inclusive Adriatic region - built together across generations and borders.
Thanks to all participants, facilitators and young contributors who made Youth4Sea a space for meaningful dialogue, ideas and future action.
