Youth4Sea in Ancona

On 25 May 2026, we participated in the Youth4Sea | Ideas for the Future of Italy – Croatia Cooperation - event organised by the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme.
Some 200 people, from younger generations to project beneficiaries, from institutional representatives to Programme representatives, to reflect collectively on youth engagement.
It was a great honour to be among the six projects selected for the Fair section (ADRINCLUSIVE, ARCHAEODIGIT, REEL, MAPA, UNDERSEA e STRENGTH).
For STRENGTH, the following representatives attended the event:
• Caterina Rizzoni from Municipality of Ravenna
• Martina Berneschi and Silvia Bacilieri from Consorzio di Bonifica Pianura di Ferrara
• Duje Reić from RERA
• Marco Faggioli from University of Ferrara
It was a valuable opportunity to present to the public our commitment to engaging young people through three key areas of activity:
- awareness raising;
- co-design;
- consultation.
We firmly believe that strengthening young people’s awareness of natural hazards linked to climate change is an absolute priority.
To achieve this, we are convinced that it is essential not to work for young people, but to work WITH young people.
