From 19 to 21 May 2026, Venetian Cluster hosted the IN4BLUE Resident Transnational Exchange Program in Spinea (Venice). The three‑day initiative brought together the three young residents of Venetian Cluster - Abel Markos Haile, Valeria Santaterra and Jovana Avramovic - and the two young residents from the Istrian Development Agency, Luka Catela and Sunčica Jakopović. The programme was further enriched by the participation of Francesco Suzzi from Sea the Change S.r.l., who joined as mentor and business plan expert.
Throughout the visit, participants engaged in a structured programme designed to strengthen cross‑border collaboration and deepen their understanding of business model development within the Adriatic Blue Economy. The first two days were dedicated to the exchange of experiences, the presentation of business models developed by the Italian residents, and discussions on their potential transferability to the Croatian context. These sessions provided an opportunity to compare approaches, identify shared challenges and explore how innovative solutions could be adapted across regions.
The third day was entirely devoted to the Co‑Development Workshop, an intensive working session focused on refining the Business Plan and developing the Triple Business Model Canvas. Guided by the mentor, the young residents worked with tools such as persona development, innovation mapping and sustainable business model frameworks. This collaborative environment enabled participants to consolidate their ideas, address critical aspects of their proposals and strengthen the strategic foundations of their solutions.
The exchange concluded with a reflection on the progress achieved and the next steps to be undertaken within the IN4BLUE project. The initiative represented a valuable milestone for the young residents involved, reinforcing cooperation between Italy and Croatia and supporting the creation of innovative, sustainable and transferable solutions for the Adriatic Blue Economy.
