IN4BLUE Resident Transnational Exchange Program and Co-development Workshop in Friuli Venezia Giulia

26/05/2026

From 27 to 29 April 2026, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region hosted the IN4BLUE Resident Transnational Exchange Program, welcoming the Croatian resident, Goran Miočić, for a three‑day programme across Udine, Trieste and Marano Lagunare. The initiative offered an in‑depth introduction to the regional innovation ecosystem and strengthened cross‑border collaboration within the Adriatic Blue Economy.

The visit began at TEC4I FVG in Udine, where the resident was welcomed and introduced to the programme's objectives and structure. The first afternoon included a presentation of the resident’s activities and solution idea, followed by an exchange with eFrame srl on pescatourism practices. A guided tour of TEC4I FVG’s facilities provided an overview of the centre’s role within the IN4BLUE project and showcased its design and 3D‑printing laboratories.

The second day focused on stakeholder engagement and exploration of the broader innovation landscape. The resident visited Trieste’s city centre before meeting representatives of the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico – Urban Center and its FABLAB, focusing on 3D printing and technological innovation. A subsequent meeting with the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce offered insights into internationalisation strategies and EU policy initiatives. In the afternoon, the programme moved to Marano Lagunare, where the resident met local operators active in pescatourism and ittiturismo, gaining first‑hand understanding of the sector’s dynamics and opportunities.

The final day was dedicated to co‑development, reflection and mentoring. The morning began with a Transnational Co‑Development Workshop at TEC4I FVG, during which the resident worked on refining their solution with the support of the hosting team. This was followed by a visit to ITS Academy Udine – Tourism, where the resident met coordinators and students engaged in the preparations for the upcoming “Made in Italy Day”. The visit concluded with a recap session to consolidate the insights gained throughout the residency and a one‑to‑one mentoring session aimed at supporting the next steps of the resident’s development path.
