The Bragosso returns to the water: a new step towards sustainable tourism

25/05/2026

On May 22, in Porto Levante (Porto Viro, RO), TOFOLA took part in the launching of the Bragosso, one of the traditional boats restored as part of the project dedicated to the recovery of two historic vessels.

A meaningful moment marking the return to the water of a piece of cultural heritage, as well as a  step towards promoting more accessible and sustainable tourism, with respect for both the forests from which the materials originate and the waters these boats will navigate.

The launching ceremony represented an important opportunity to celebrate the past while looking to the future: a path that brings together tradition and innovation, restoration and new technologies, with sustainability at its core.

The opportunities generated by the restoration of the two boats extend beyond the single intervention, involving the wider territory of the Serenissima and the areas connected by the TOFOLA project. These initiatives aim to become a tangible example of how to enhance local heritage, guiding both citizens and visitors in discovering the lagoons and landscapes that define our shared identity.
