More than 200 people took part in the guided tours we organized at the pumping stations of the Ferrara land

On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026, as part of STRENGTH Project, we organized free guided tour of the pumping stations of Codigoro and Sant’Antonino di Cona (Ferrara).
The two pumping stations are among the main infrastructures that ensure the hydraulic safety of the Ferrara area.
Guided by the expert technicians of the Ferrara Plain Reclamation Consortium (STRENGTH Partner), more than 200 people had the opportunity to discover how pumping stations work, understand the value of land reclamation, and increase their awareness of territorial risks and their prevention.
It was a real opportunity to explore the relationship between people and the land they live in.
During each tour, the STRENGTH Project was presented, offering a chance to delve deeper into the topic of natural hazards related to climate change and what can be done to mitigate them
