SITE Training in Trieste: Videos are Now Available on YouTube

The SITE Project Training in Trieste brought together experts, partners and tourism stakeholders to explore how Universal Design, accessibility and inclusive communication can help shape more welcoming tourist experiences for everyone.

The training sessions focused on key topics for the development of accessible and inclusive tourism, including Universal Design principles, accessible and easy-to-understand communication, web accessibility, transport, hospitality services, cultural and natural attractions, and destination-level strategies.

All videos from the Trieste training have now been uploaded to the official SITE Project YouTube channel and are available to watch online. They provide useful insights, practical examples and recommendations for tourism operators, public authorities, cultural institutions, destination managers and all stakeholders interested in making tourism more accessible and inclusive.

As the training took place in Trieste, some presentations were delivered in Italian and others in English. To support broader accessibility and understanding, subtitles are already available in the three project languages: Italian, Croatian and English.

In the coming period, the videos from the SITE Training in Opatija will also be uploaded to the official YouTube channel. This second training replicated the same programme and included presentations in Croatian and English. Together, the two playlists will ensure that all training topics are covered in English across the available video materials.

Through these resources, the SITE project continues to promote knowledge sharing and capacity building on accessible tourism, supporting the creation of more inclusive destinations in the Italy–Croatia Programme area.
