THE CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOPS HELD WITHIN THE SOCRAT PROJECT

On May 13, 2026, workshops aimed at strengthening the capacities of tourism professionals were successfully held as part of the SOCRAT project – SOcializing CRaft & Contemporary Art for Sustainable Tourism.
The workshops were jointly organized by INOVAcija and the University of Zadar, and took place at the Center for Creative Industries in Zadar.
Through interactive lectures and exchange of experiences, participants had the opportunity to learn about tools and approaches for developing sustainable and authentic cultural tourism, with a special focus on connecting tourism with cultural and creative industries and the local community.
The workshops covered the following topics:
- Development of authentic, community-based tourism experiences
- Creation of financially sustainable cultural tourism products
- Communication, visibility, and market reach in cultural tourism
Through the triangular cooperation model, the SOCRAT project brings together artists, entrepreneurs, and civil society organizations with the aim of developing innovative cultural tourism products and strengthening sustainable tourism in the Adriatic cross-border region.
