The 2Q class of the Istituto “Romano Bruni” located in Padua is the first class to have launched the school education activity within the FishNoWaste project.
During the first classroom meeting, the FishNoWaste project was introduced, along with the issue of marine litter, including its origins, impacts, and possible solutions from a circular economy perspective.
The second meeting consisted of a full-day excursion to Chioggia, during which students visited the fish market and the Zoologia Adriatica “Giuseppe Olivi” Museum. In the afternoon, the class took part in a beach clean-up activity. Following this experience, the students brought some of the most unusual waste items back to school for closer observation in the laboratory and to systematically catalogue each item collected.
During the final two classroom meetings, students will share their ideas and develop a small project, which will be presented at the Zoologia Adriatica “Giuseppe Olivi” Museum in Chioggia
