6th Project Meeting Held in Bari

10/04/2026

On the 31st of March and on the 01st of April, the 6th Project Meeting of the CYROS – Adriatic Ionian Cycle Route for Sustainable Tourism project took place in Bari.

The event was promoted by Apulia Region within the framework of the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme.
The two-day initiative brought together institutional representatives, experts, and European partners to take stock of the project’s progress, dedicated to the creation of a cross-border cycle route in the Adriatic–Ionian area and the promotion of sustainable tourism based on integrated mobility.

FIRST DAY – BARI
After the institutional greetings by the Apulia Region counselor for Infrastructure and Transportation, Raffaele Piemontese, several speakers from the institutional world illustrated the Cycle Route of Acquedotto Pugliese, an infrastructure project funded by Apulia Region.
In the afternoon, due to bad weather conditions, the study visit to the Cycle Route of Acquedotto Pugliese didn't take place and was replaced by a study visit to the Building of the Water, an historical palace that hosts the headquarters of Acquedotto Pugliese.

SECOND DAY – BARI
The following day, at the Headquarters of Apulia Region, the 6th Project Meeting was held. The meeting focused on financial progress, implementation status of activities and deliverables, and coordination of upcoming actions across Work Packages.

The event represented a moment where the partners discussed the further steps needed to implement all activities within the project deadline.
