Fostering Cross-Border Heritage: Transnational Placements in Macerata
02/04/2026
The ARCHAEODIGIT project, co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg Italy - Croatia program, is thrilled to announce the successful launch of its transnational placement phase.
As a core component of our capacity-building strategy, the top learners from each of our Training Courses were selected to realize a 3-week transnational placement at host institutions located in our partner test areas. This cross-border initiative allows Italian participants to travel to Croatian test areas, and Croatian participants to train in Italian ones, providing a unique opportunity to gain work-based experience and closely observe the project's Pilot Actions.
Welcoming Our Croatian Colleagues to Macerata
From March 8 to March 28 2026, we were delighted to host three outstanding learners from the Municipality of Omišalj, Croatia, in Macerata, Italy. Additionally, they enhanced their interpersonal communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities within a dynamic team environment.
Upon completion of the 3-week placement, this valuable work-based learning will be formally recognized through the Europass Mobility tool. The trainees then returned to the Municipality of Omišalj to integrate these newly acquired skills and strategies into their daily professional roles.
We wish Ira, Sara, and Ivana had a highly productive and inspiring stay in Macerata!
