On 18 February 2026, a meeting dedicated to digital mobility and digitalisation initiatives in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County was held at the Regional Development Agency of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County (PRIGODA). The meeting brought together representatives from the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County administration, the City of Krk, the Municipalities of Malinska-Dubašnica and Cres, the Regional Development Agency of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and the technology sector represented by Ericsson Nikola Tesla, to discuss ongoing activities and future initiatives aimed at improving transport connectivity and digital services in the region.
The meeting was opened by Vedran Kružić, Director of PRIGODA, who introduced the concept of digital mobility and highlighted the importance of developing digital solutions to address transport challenges in the county. Particular attention was given to issues related to seasonal tourist flows, which often create traffic congestion and mobility challenges during peak periods. Digital mobility solutions were presented as an important tool for improving public transport use, strengthening connectivity between rural and urban areas, and enhancing accessibility for local residents.
As part of the agenda, the AdriACTIVE was presented as an example of good practice. The project demonstrates how digital tools can support tourism management by enabling the creation of personalised tourist itineraries, helping redirect visitor flows towards less congested areas of the county and contributing to more balanced and sustainable tourism development.
The day concluded with a shared commitment to continue identifying key areas where digital solutions can improve mobility and tourism management. Municipalities agreed to further develop a prioritised list of actions and to regularly update their databases on local tourism offerings, which will be shared with the AdriACTIVE project team to support the development of the project’s digital tools.
