Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region and INOVAcija Zadar Organised a Cross-Border IN2BIZ Workshop within the IN4BLUE Project

On 26 February 2026, Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region and INOVAcija Zadar organised the online workshop “Making Sustainability Visible – addressing the challenges of the Blue Economy” within the IN4BLUE project, funded by the Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027 Programme.
The workshop brought together participants from Italy and Croatia to strengthen their skills in sustainability and communication within the Blue Economy, with particular attention to the cultural, creative, and tourism sectors. The initiative aimed to support organisations and stakeholders in translating sustainability principles into effective strategies for decision-making, credibility, and visibility.
The training was structured according to the IN2BIZ model, combining national and transnational learning moments. In the first phase, participants attended national sessions in their respective languages. The Italian session focused on the strategic value of sustainability, exploring how sustainability practices contribute to stronger decision-making, risk management, and organisational credibility, as well as how sustainability requirements increasingly influence access to funding and development opportunities at both local and transnational levels. The Croatian session addressed the fundamentals of communication, providing practical insights on brand building, audience targeting, effective messaging, and the development of communication plans.
The second phase brought all participants together in a joint transnational session in English, which facilitated the exchange of experiences and best practices across borders. This session highlighted practical examples of how sustainable practices can be communicated clearly and credibly, enhancing visibility and reinforcing the impact of sustainability initiatives in the Blue Economy.
Overall, the workshop provided participants with both strategic perspectives and practical communication tools, supporting cross-border collaboration and strengthening the capacity of organisations to promote sustainability in a transparent and effective way.
