Stakeholder Workshop and Student Exhibition Held in Pescara

03/03/2026

On 24 February 2026, a stakeholder workshop was held at AURUM in Pescara, contributing to the implementation of activities related to the Spatial Climate Change Database, lifelong learning, and pilot area assessment.

The workshop gathered representatives from key economic sectors within the Nuova Pescara pilot area. Its main objective was to present and validate the identified climate vulnerabilities and sectoral pressures affecting the territory. Through interactive discussion, participants assessed whether the documented risks reflect operational realities and identified barriers to adaptation.

The dialogue focused on three priorities: validating the information framework, identifying regulatory and infrastructural constraints, and defining priority actions to be integrated into the Pilot Area Climate Adaptation Plan to strengthen territorial safety and long-term economic resilience.

The event concluded with a public exhibition of design proposals developed by students of the UNICAM School of Architecture and Design, showcasing innovative spatial solutions for mitigating climate impacts in the Pescara area.

The workshop reaffirmed the importance of stakeholder engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cross-border knowledge exchange in advancing climate resilience in Adriatic coastal regions.
