The Ruđer Bošković Institute is organising the Advanced Summer School on Climate Change in Adriatic Sea, which will take place from 19 to 24 July 2026 at the University of Split – Three-Faculties Building, Split, Croatia.
The Advanced Summer School is designed for postgraduate and PhD students, as well as early-career researchers interested in climate science, modelling approaches, and climate adaptation in coastal areas.
The programme will focus on three main thematic areas:

Collaborative Projects and Problem-Solving
Through expert-led lectures, interactive sessions, and collaborative activities, participants will deepen their understanding of climate processes affecting the Adriatic region, explore advanced research methodologies, and strengthen their capacity to address climate-related challenges through interdisciplinary cooperation.
The primary objective of the Advanced Summer School is to further develop participants’ scientific knowledge and analytical skills while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among the next generation of climate researchers and professionals working on adaptation and resilience.
