International Conference in Croatia: GECO2.2 certification scheme
On 21 April 2026 at 11:00 AM, the international conference “GECO 2.2 CERTIFICATION SCHEME – Certification of Carbon Removals and Reductions in Agriculture in Accordance with the EU Framework and Regulation (EU) 2024/3012” will take place at the University of Zadar (Croatia).
Organised by AGRRA within the framework of the GECO 2.2 project, the conference will focus on the operational implementation of carbon removal and emission reduction certification in agriculture, in line with the new European regulatory framework established by Regulation (EU) 2024/3012.
A strategic moment for European agriculture
The entry into force of the new EU Regulation marks a turning point for the voluntary carbon market and for the recognition of agriculture as a key contributor to climate mitigation.
The GECO 2.2 Conference aims to translate regulatory principles into practical solutions, offering a space for dialogue among:

- Accreditation and verification bodies
