General public; Local, regional and national public authorities and related entities; Regional and local development agencies, environmental agencies and regional associations; Emergency services and coast guard centres; Universities and research institutes.
E-CITIJENS' objective is to increase the safety of the Croatian and Italian Adriatic basin natural and man-made disasters by improving monitoring and emergency management measures as well as harnessing the characteristics of the social media network to significantly enhance Civil Protection’s capacity in reducing disaster risk. This goal is achieved through cross-border cooperation and in particular by: supplying Civil Protection with an advanced and efficient decision support system (EDSS); creating a real-time emergency communication channel between Civil Protection and citizens aimed at collecting and using information voluntarily provided by citizens via Social Media (citizen journalism)f for a better disaster management; implementing an Awareness Raising intervention to boost citzens' role as “active sensors” of emergencies.

The Civil Protection Service is included in the 4th Department "Territorial Government" and carries out H24 activities 365 days a year

The Department for Civil Protection and Local Police is the regional structure in charge for the most part of competences given by law at Veneto Region about Civil Protection. Regional competencies are: • Prevention • Forecasting • Emergency • Civil Protection Volunteers Organization. The Department achieves awareness –raising actions, information campaigns, exercises and courses for citizens and volunteers to spread the principle of civils protections among the Community.

SDC is experienced in preparation and implementation of different CBC projects. Institution has an extensive network of national, regional and local institutions with competent staff successful in implementing multidisciplinary projects that require regional and international cooperation skills. SDC is organized in 11 departments, each dealing with sectorial issues, employs the total of 270 staff, well-educated and trained with yearly budget of around 143.780.000,00 €.

UNIST- FGAG is a scientific and teaching constituent of the University of Split delivering higher education programmes, research and professional activities. UNIST-FGAG promotes and contributes to the collaborative research at the regional and national level, and aims to international recognition at the same time.

Municipality of Pescara
Pescara has 120.151 inhabitants, an annual budget of more than 10.000.000 € and 750 staff units. Its European Policies Department acquired expertise and know-how related to ETC developing different initiatives in crossborder and transnational projects aimed to enhance the relations with the Adriatic area. The European Policies Department partecipated in the development of new Civil Protection Emergency Risk Plan granting the necessary links and coherence with European CP Mechanism.
