About section

About

The CRESCO Adria project focuses on addressing climate change through enhanced city and land planning, emphasising both mitigation and adaptation strategies. It encourages local and regional communities to actively participate in reducing emissions while adapting to climate impacts based on local needs. The initiative aims to provide knowledge and tools for spatial planning, helping Adriatic communities improve their resilience to climate change.

Key outputs include the development of joint strategic guidelines for spatial planning, higher education curricula for climate adaptation, and specific climate change adaptation plans for pilot areas in Croatia and Italy. The project will analyse scientific data, develop climate resilience indicators, and foster collaboration among public authorities, academia, and private sectors. Ultimately, it seeks to create sustainable systems that enhance community safety and resilience while capitalising on new opportunities arising from climate changes.
