"Roots of Taste: Land, Flavours and Community" at CIVIFORM
On 17 January 2026, Cividale del Friuli will host the event ‘Radici di Gusto: Terra, Sapori e Comunità’ (Roots of Taste: Land, Flavours and Community). The day, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Civiform headquarters in Viale Gemona 5, is dedicated to promoting local food and wine excellence with a view to sustainable tourism.
The event offers a programme that combines training and conviviality:
- Practical workshop “Radici di strucchi”: a workshop led by Franco Pittia to learn the art of preparing this typical dessert.
- Workshop “Herbs, flavours and sustainability”: a meeting with Ennio Furlan to discover the wild herbs of the area and their conscious use in cooking.
- Showcooking ‘Live flavours’: a live demonstration where traditional Friulian dishes are reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
- TESTEAT HUB Meeting: an opportunity for stakeholders, producers and local suppliers to exchange ideas.
- Buffet lunch: a tasting of traditional dishes revisited to meet modern dietary requirements.
Participation is free, but registration is required as places are limited.
