Shaping the next generation of location scouts: the REEL Location Scouting Training in Rijeka

On 19 February 2025, the three-day cross-border training course for twelve young or aspiring location scouting operators from Croatia and Italy officially began in Rijeka. Organized by Art-kino within the REEL project, the training aimed to strengthen professional skills in location scouting, destination management and sustainable film production.

On 21 February 2026, marking International Tourist Guide Day, IKA organized the educational tour “Istria on the Screen - Film Itineraries Live”, translating recent capacity building activities into a field-based experience, showcasing film itineraries as structured narrative routes connecting heritage, landscape and cinema.
