Public call for the executive production of 8 short movies

The REEL project is making significant progress!
The Lead Partner, Apulia Film Commission, has officially launched a publi call for the executive production of 8 short movies inspired by the theme "Adriatic Odysseey".
What is the call about?
The call aims to identify 8 economic operators (production companies) who, in collaboration with young directors under 35, bord or residing in the Italy-Croatia Programme area, will produce 8 short movies themed around the "Adriatic Odyssey". The "Adriatic Odyssey" these is inspired by the evocative description of Predrag Matvejević, who defined the Adriatic as "the sea of intimacy". Directors are invited to explore the theme of journeys through its sea, rich in history and profound meanings. The journeys mau include physical travels - adventures, escapes, holidays, or business trips - as well as inner explorations, journeys through time, or virtual journeys, representing dreams or necessities. Stories may span fiction, drama, or animation. Promoting lesser-known destinations within the Programme area through these short movies is strongly encouraged and serves as a key evaluation criterion, aligning with the REEL project's goal to identify and decentralize tourism, showcasing hidden gems.
How to participate?
Italian economic operators can send your application via certified email (PEC) to progetti@pec.apuliafilmcommission.it. Other economic operators can send your application via email to email@apuliafilmcommission.it.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM (UTC + 1) on March 9, 2025.
