Feedback from the public events organized by the Po Delta Veneto Regional Park for the PEPSEA project

On March 16, 2022, the public event organized by Po Delta Veneto Regional Park for the PEPSEA project was held at the visitor center in Porto Viro at 2:30 pm.

The event opened with the institutional greetings of Maura Veronese (Mayor of Porto Viro), Moreno Gasparini (Po Delta Veneto Park President), Roberto Pizzoli (Mayor of Porto Tolle), Michele Grossato (Mayor of Rosolina) and Mia Perica (PEPSEA Project LP Representative).

Afterwards, the theme of the meeting became more technical thanks to the intervention of Graziano Caramori (Po Delta consultant) who presented the 2 Pilot Areas of the project.

Immediately afterwards, Sebastiano Carrer (Thetis company) presented the drafting of the study for the environmental morphological plan of the EPS of the Po Delta.

Lastly, Federico Rosa showed a Mobile App for Real Time Alert: a tool for managing and sharing monitoring data with an Open Data Geoportal that will help protect the waters of the pilot sites, according to the project.

The meeting, organized after the Civil Protection training course, was organized to obtain a greater involvement of the local population in order to increase the awareness of the protection of the lagoons and the EPS.

Although particular attention was paid to the presence of the local Civil Protection teams many stakeholders attended the event including representatives of public administrations, representing local response centers (outside pilot location), technical consultants and journalists from local media.
