TRANS MARIS
25/09/2026TRANS MARIS Sailing expedition
From 23 to 28 August, Rovinj, Venice and Cesenatico were connected by the sea. Through first-hand experience of the Adriatic’s maritime natural and cultural heritage, TRANS MARIS explored how this heritage can be transmitted to new generations. Twenty young participants embarked on a six-day cross-border journey combining traditional sailing and rowing, experiential learning, heritage interpretation and visual storytelling.

The final event of the bePrepARed project took place in Comacchio, Italy, from 23 to 25 September 2026, bringing together project partners and stakeholders to reflect on the project’s achievements and strengthen cooperation on climate change adaptation across the Adriatic region.

The workshop provided an opportunity to introduce the SEAS project, its objectives and opportunities for cooperation in the blue economy. Participants were informed about the upcoming SEAS Call for Entrepreneurs, which will provide financial support through grants for the development, testing and commercialisation of innovative blue economy products and services.

24/09/2026Passive acoustic monitoring of cetaceans in the Adriatic Sea.
The Adriatic Sea hosts a diverse cetacean community, including eight species considered resident in the basin. Within the UNDERSEA project, the Blue World Institute and the Croatian Natural History Museum were responsible for activities related to cetacean acoustic monitoring and the development of a dedicated sound library for the Adriatic Sea.
