14/07/2026International IN2TECH Cross-Border Peer Exchange Workshop held as part of the IN4BLUE Project
The international IN2TECH Cross-Border Peer Exchange Workshop supported knowledge transfer among Adriatic partners by focusing on the procurement of prototypes for public-private-social business concepts in the blue economy sector. Six innovative ideas were presented and assessed, while mixed Croatian-Italian teams collaboratively developed procurement documents and evaluation frameworks using AI-assisted tools. The workshop enhanced cooperation, quality assurance practices, and partners’ capacity to foster sustainable blue economy innovation.

AI Perspectives for Maritime Innovation 16 July 2026 | Greif Hotel – Sala Sissi, Trieste, Italy The AI Perspectives for Maritime Innovation workshop will take place on 16 July 2026 at the Greif Hotel – Sala Sissi in Trieste, Italy, as part of the Interreg Italy–Croatia ECCENTRIC project. Organised by M.A.R.E. Technology Cluster FVG, with technical support from Lloyd's Register, the event will focus on the application of artificial intelligence in emerging maritime sectors. The workshop will bring together SMEs, researchers and innovation stakeholders to present ECCENTRIC methodologies, AI-based innovation tools and opportunities for collaboration between businesses and research organisations.

On 7 July 2026, the SOCRAT project (Networking Crafts and Contemporary Art for Sustainable Tourism, Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027) celebrated its final cross-border event with the opening of the international exhibition “Shared Grounds” at the Archaeological Museum of Istria in Pula. Organised by the Region of Istria – Regione Istriana, the exhibition marked the culmination of three years of cross-border cooperation dedicated to connecting crafts, contemporary art, cultural and creative industries, and sustainable tourism.
