Final Steering Committee Meeting of the RESONANCE Project Held
On 24 August 2026, the 5th Steering Committee Meeting of the RESONANCE project – impRoving landslidE riSk preventiOn aNd mAnagement iN Coastal arEas was held online. The meeting was also the final project meeting of the partnership, with representatives of all project partners in attendance.
During the meeting, the partners carried out a final review of project implementation, completed activities, and achieved results. The Lead Partner, University of Urbino Carlo Bo (LP-UNIURB), presented the final project management updates, after which the partners discussed the implementation status of activities within Work Packages WP1, WP3 and WP4.
Particular attention was given to the results of the integrated survey and monitoring system in the pilot areas, the public events carried out within the project, and the promotion of the virtual tools developed through project activities. The partners also reviewed the final activities related to the development of new guidelines for coastal landslide and retrogression risk mitigation, proposals for updated mitigation measures and monitoring systems, as well as the joint training scheme for public and private authorities dealing with risk mitigation and tourism in the Adriatic Region.
An important part of the meeting was also dedicated to the scientific dissemination of project findings and results, the joint training scheme for disseminating project results, and the final review of communication activities, in which PP4-CRP and PP5-Istrian University of Applied Sciences played an important role.
At the final meeting, it was jointly confirmed that all activities and tasks foreseen within the project had been successfully implemented in accordance with the planned obligations, and that all partners had fulfilled the responsibilities assigned to them. This confirmed the successful completion of the project activities and the achievement of the planned project results.
In the closing remarks, the Lead Partner thanked all project partners for their commitment, constructive cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience, and their contribution to the successful implementation of the project. The final part of the meeting also provided an opportunity to reflect on the partnership’s joint work throughout the project implementation period and on the results achieved, which will provide a valuable basis for future cooperation and for the continued use of the knowledge, methods and tools developed even after the formal completion of the project.
Through international cooperation between partners from both sides of the Adriatic, the RESONANCE project contributes to improving knowledge, monitoring methods, and approaches to the prevention and management of landslide risks in coastal areas, with particular emphasis on transferring project results to public authorities, professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.
