IoT Decision Support System Platform and Supporting Materials Developed

The DIGITAL PLAN project has developed a web-based Internet of Things Decision Support System (IoT-DSS) platform designed to support Civil Protection authorities in accessing and managing relevant information for risk preparedness and emergency response.
The platform brings together data from IoT sensors, digital maps, risk scenarios, hazardous events and digitalized Civil Protection Plans, providing users with a comprehensive overview of relevant information for a specific area. Its functionalities were tested through the project’s pilot activities, including the use of IoT sensors to collect real-time environmental data.
To facilitate the practical use of the platform, the project also developed technical and user manuals, instructions and training materials. These resources provide guidance on managing information through the platform and using its functionalities for civil protection planning and emergency management.
Together, the platform and supporting materials provide a digital solution aimed at improving access to information, coordination and decision-making in civil protection.
