MMM expands to 10 programmes and advances joint actions

26/03/2026

The Mediterranean Multi-Programme Coordination Mechanism has been steadily growing over the years and now includes 10 Interreg programmes in the Mediterranean area. The latest additions are Interreg Italy–Slovenia, Interreg IPA South Adriatic, and Interreg IPA Adrion.

Together, the MMM programmes are currently working on three main activities:

  • A coordinated Call for Proposals aimed at capitalising on results produced by projects across the different programmes. To this end, they are drafting a common Terms of Reference and a set of capitalisation outputs in the field of sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean. Each programme will then launch its own Call for Proposals. The Interreg Italy – Croatia Programme will be the first to do so, with its 4th Call scheduled for June 2026.
  • A Peer Exchange initiative, which will allow beneficiaries of ongoing projects to exchange knowledge and foster the transfer and reuse of results in different areas.
  • Coordinated communication under the motto “Stronger together”. Each programme will promote and disseminate key content and messages according to a shared communication plan, using a joint visual identity.

For more information, visit each programme’s website and social media channels. For Italy–Croatia, updates on the MMM can be found via the link in the box.
