FINAL EVENT

The ECCENTRIC project will conclude with a two-day meeting and final event in Rovigo on 15–16 September 2026. The partner meeting will focus on the finalisation of WP2 and WP3 activities, including pilot actions, matchmaking and collaboration between SMEs and innovation providers, investment readiness support, communication activities, and the completion of project deliverables. Particular attention will be given to the uptake of project outputs, evidence of achieved results, target users and the technical and financial aspects of project closure. During the Final Event, ECCENTRIC will present its approach to accelerating innovation and investment in the blue economy, showcase its AI-based tool, and share key results, experiences and lessons learned from the pilot activities.

Workshop AI perspectives for Maritime Innovation

AI Perspectives for Maritime Innovation 16 July 2026 | Greif Hotel – Sala Sissi, Trieste, Italy The AI Perspectives for Maritime Innovation workshop will take place on 16 July 2026 at the Greif Hotel – Sala Sissi in Trieste, Italy, as part of the Interreg Italy–Croatia ECCENTRIC project. Organised by M.A.R.E. Technology Cluster FVG, with technical support from Lloyd's Register, the event will focus on the application of artificial intelligence in emerging maritime sectors. The workshop will bring together SMEs, researchers and innovation stakeholders to present ECCENTRIC methodologies, AI-based innovation tools and opportunities for collaboration between businesses and research organisations.

During the dedicated ECCENTRIC session, project partners presented pilot activities, innovation support tools, SME–research collaboration opportunities and funding possibilities for Croatian and Italian SMEs.

Call for Solutions: Matchmaking Innovation Providers with Adriatic Blue Economy SMEs

Project connects innovation providers, research institutions and technology developers with SMEs from the Adriatic blue economy through a structured matchmaking process. SME BRIEFs presenting concrete challenges and solution needs are available on the project landing page, enabling direct engagement and partnership building.
