Local info day in Croatia

The online Local Info Day of the ECCENTRIC project, held on 13 November 2025, brought together representatives of companies, research institutions, and key stakeholders committed to advancing the blue economy and circular innovation in the Adriatic region. The event served as an introduction to the main objectives of the ECCENTRIC project, which focuses on enhancing circularity, fostering innovation, and supporting the sustainable growth of emerging sectors within the blue economy.
The programme opened with a presentation of the ECCENTRIC project, highlighting its strategic goals, partnership composition, and activities implemented across both Italy and Croatia. This was followed by an overview of pilot actions and project results, showcasing how innovation-driven solutions are being developed to support sustainability, maritime decarbonisation, and the valorisation of marine resources.
Participants also received an informative overview of current opportunities for accessing EU and national funding dedicated to blue economy initiatives, demonstrating how SMEs, researchers, and innovation actors can accelerate their solutions through financial support. Furthermore, useful projects relevant to the target audience were presented, offering inspiration and insights into collaboration possibilities.
The event concluded with a dynamic discussion, “From Idea to Solution”, bringing together researchers and entrepreneurs to share experiences, challenges, and real-life examples of how scientific knowledge can be transformed into market-ready solutions.
Overall, the Local Info Day successfully highlighted the importance of interregional cooperation, innovation-led growth, and the role of SMEs and research institutions in shaping a more sustainable and competitive Adriatic blue economy.
