WP1: Assessing the risk for natural and cultural landscapes

This work package focuses on sharing methodologies and practices for effective landscape governance in areas affected by climate change, particularly water stress. It aims to analyze different climate change scenarios to guide governments, communities, and civil society in improving water management policies and practices. By doing so, it seeks to strengthen resilience and support sustainable development. Additionally, it raises awareness among key stakeholders about the structural nature of the climate crisis and promotes an integrated, science-based approach using sustainable, nature-based solutions.

WP2: A Strategy for adaptation and mitigation

This work package aims to raise institutional and social awareness of climate change impacts on natural and cultural landscapes, as well as local economic activities, through the exchange of good management and mitigation practices. It involves a participatory process with working groups that include local communities and stakeholders to develop a cross-border strategy and tailored action plans. The outcomes will support governments, communities, and civil society in promoting sustainable landscape regeneration and water resource management. Additionally, it seeks to inform policymakers about science-based and ecosystem-based governance solutions for addressing climate-related challenges in water landscapes.
