4° Stakeholder Engagement Meeting
The Interreg Italy-Croatia AcquaGuard project is pleased to invite stakeholders to the Fourth Stakeholder Engagement Meeting, which will be held on 11 May 2026 on Lazzaretto Nuovo Island, Venice.
The meeting continues the stakeholder engagement process launched through the previous project events and represents an important opportunity to exchange views on climate resilience, flood risk assessment and adaptation strategies for the Veneto pilot area.
The morning session will include a guided visit to Lazzaretto Nuovo, organised by the Ecomuseo dei Lazzaretti Veneziani, offering participants the opportunity to explore a site of significant historical and environmental value within the Venice Lagoon. The visit will be followed by interactive working sessions aimed at strengthening dialogue among participants and collecting useful contributions for the further development of project activities.
The event will focus on the participatory validation of coastal risk profiles in Veneto and on lessons learned regarding Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for flood prevention. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the results produced within the AcquaGuard project, consolidate the knowledge gained through the Italy-Croatia cooperation process and co-create locally relevant content on NbS for flood risk reduction. The agenda foresees sessions on coastal adaptation in Veneto, participatory validation of risk profiles, and practical lessons on Nature-based Solutions for flood prevention.
The meeting is organised by CMCC, CORILA and Provveditorato OO.PP., and represents the final Stakeholder Engagement Meeting of the AcquaGuard project. It will also serve as a key step towards the project’s final event, planned in the coming months.
Participation is limited. Interested stakeholders are invited to register by 30 April 2026.
