11th Project Team Meeting: Evaluating Progress and Planning Next Steps for Implementation
16/03/2026
On 11–12 March 2026, the 11th Project Meeting of the AcquaGuard project was held in Venice, bringing together representatives of all project partners to coordinate ongoing activities and plan the next phase of implementation.
The meeting focused on the progress of activities within Period 5, with particular emphasis on the development of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) for flood prevention, alignment of key deliverables, and preparation of upcoming outputs. Discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring consistency across feasibility studies, project documentation, and strategic integration of NbS into planning frameworks.
Special attention was given to capacity building, replication and long-term sustainability of project results. Partners agreed on the organisation of joint webinars in June 2026, aimed at strengthening knowledge transfer and engaging stakeholders from both Croatia and Italy.

The second day of the meeting was dedicated to a structured review exercise, where partners jointly assessed the developed NbS solutions in terms of feasibility, economic viability, and replication potential. The results will directly contribute to the finalisation of key project deliverables and support the integration of NbS into strategic and planning processes.
The meeting confirmed strong partnership coordination and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality outputs that will support climate adaptation and flood risk reduction in the programme area.
