Strengthening the role of young people in territorial cooperation processes and multilevel
governance systems across the Italy–Croatia cooperation area, with a strong focus on sustainable
development. This is the mail goal of the YPACT project.

Acronym for "Youth PArticipation in Cross-border cooperation for susTainable development", YPACT
will be launched in Campobasso (IT), on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, from 10:00 to 16:30. The Kick-off-Meeting, organized by Eurelations GEIE (Lead Partner), will take place at the SAMNIUM Innovation Hub.

With over 20 years of experience in implementing EU-funded projects, Eurelations GEIE has
successfully coordinated a previous small scale youth-focused project: DEMY-Coop.

The YPACT project builds on this experience and continues targeting youth organisations in
Italy and Croatia, stimulating the dialogue about young people’s role in
sustainable territorial development decision-making and cross-border cooperation, in line with the
EU Youth Strategy and the UN 2030 Agenda. As part of the activities, YPACT will develop a range of
operational tools (guidelines, policy briefs), capacity builsing activities (policy dialogues and working groups) and innovative communication products (podcasts) aimed at enhancing youth participation and activate the dialogue between youth and public institutions.

The Kick-off-Meeting in Campobasso will bring together the project partners, USMA Padova and Pi
RERA SD, to operatively discuss project’s objectives, activities to be planned, and expected
outcomes. Also, it will provide a strategic direction to the YPACT action, by linking it to broader
initiative framework, in connection with initiatives dedicated to young people under European territorial cooperation. 
Representatives from the European Commission, the Programme, and Legambiente will infact present respectively the Youth4Cooperation initiative, the Youth4Sea event in Ancona, and the Youth4Planet project.
